The first thing you notice is the fine attention to details and the luminous walls, combined with the rich wood beams. Walk down a short hall and be greeted by open floor plan living with the Kitchen, dining and living rooms all with direct access to the wrap around covered porch. The kitchen is gorgeous and has every gadget you could possible want with gleaming pots and pans, a 6 burner Wolf gas range, sub zero freezer/fridge, dishwasher, microwave, drip coffee maker, blender, food processor, toaster oven, juicer... and the list goes on! The center island also serves as a casual breakfast nook with 5 stools. There are 2 cozy club chairs nestled in by the kitchen window for early coffee or perhaps a game of cards with a cocktail! The pantry is light filled and provides added space for all your goodies. The adjacent dining room easily seats 6 so you will have plenty of room to host a little dinner gathering with friends. The living room has ultra lux seating and is quite inviting. The wood stove serves up extra ambiance for those colder temps! Just through the large sliding barn door is the media room/library with more seating and a large Smart HDTV with access to all subscriptions channels - bring your log ins! There is also a full bathroom on this main floor with a glass/tile, X-large, walk-in shower.
Upstairs, the second floor hosts all 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and has central AC throughout this second floor. The primary bedroom, with king bed, and seating area, has beautiful nature views along with a walk-in closet and full bathroom ensuite. This may be the nicest bathroom I have had the pleasure of seeing... This bathroom has gorgeous non-slip marble tiled floors and a tile and glass walk in shower. There is also an oversized soaking tub, with a scoop of soaking baths salts ever at the ready! Two sinks and a Toto bidet toilet complete the picture. The yoga room with mats, hand weight and other gadgets is located on the other side of the primary closet. Guest room #2 has a queen bed and a large walk in closet, and a desk for working. Guest room #3 also has a queen bed and another workspace. There is a fun piano keyboard here, for those who like to play, and a good sized closet. The 3rd full bathroom is shared between these two guest rooms and has a tiled tub/shower combination and 2 separate sinks! The washer dryer is also on this second floor, located in the upstairs landing. Fun note: the stairs have chalkboard risers so you can add a bit of poetry if you like!
Several doors lead outside to enjoy the wrap around covered porch with a large hammock, outdoor seating, in 2 areas, along with a table to dining al fresco. There is a propane Webber grill and an outdoor fire pit. Guest are also welcome to hook up to the EV car charger - nice! House was built with chemical sensitivity in mind and there are radiant heated floors throughout.
There are beautiful trees, a pick and eat garden (tended by the owner) and plenty of flat lawn to enjoy! This location is the best because it is not only quiet and has a rural feel, but it is also less than 5 minutes to the center of Great Barrington! This location is so central to all Berkshire venues, available year round. Cherrywood is less than 10 to both Ski Butternut and Ski Catamount and about 25 minutes to Tanglewood. No smoking, and please inquire about well trained pets which will be considered on a per pet basis. Pets fees will apply.
